Great news! Our journey to promote Global Citizenship Education (GCE) among migrants and refugees has taken a significant leap forward, and we can’t wait to tell you all about it 
Piloting Across Borders
Our dedicated partners in Cyprus, Ireland, Italy, and Spain have successfully implemented GCE training programs, reaching diverse groups of migrants and refugees. These sessions have been a melting pot of cultures, ideas, and shared experiences.
Cyprus: Empowering Through Knowledge
In Cyprus, 15 participants from various African and Asian countries dove deep into the concepts of global citizenship, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and human rights. The interactive sessions sparked engaging discussions, particularly on topics close to their hearts.
Ireland: Building Bridges
The Irish team conducted three full-day workshops, bringing together participants from eight different countries. The sessions were a beautiful blend of cultural exchange, critical thinking, and personal growth. As one participant noted, “Everything learnt has given directions as when I came into this country, I knew nothing and was directionless.”
Italy: Breaking Barriers
Our Italian partners took an innovative approach with online sessions, ensuring accessibility for all participants. The digital format didn’t dampen the enthusiasm, with lively discussions on global citizenship, sustainable development goals, and human rights.
Spain: Fostering Connections
In Spain, the piloting session was a vibrant mix of cultural awareness activities and in-depth exploration of GCE concepts. The participants’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire for more such sessions in the future.
